Roman Abramovich, klubbägare och guvernör (om än motvilligt).

Hittade en tråd på RAWK som jag tyckte var intressant. Oligarkerna i Ryssland har ju mycket makt, men en del har väl blivit åtsatta av den ryska regimen. Tydligen var Abramovich på vippen att gå detta öde til mötes, men skulle klara sig om han åtog sig uppdraget som guvernör i Tchukotka och investerade tungt i regionen.

The Governor of this region is no other than our favourite Russki, Roman Abramovich. Now, Abramovich however, didn´t stand for election for this prestigous post, he was basically forced to do it, by Vladimir Putin to avoid the same fate as the other Russian oligarchs, some of which are now in jail. So Abramovich takes on the post of Governor of this shithole of a region and plows millions of dollars into the area, builds schools, houses and all sorts for the people there. After about 4 years he thinks, that´s it, sorted, but when the new elections begin, his name is on the list again. Obviously he is elected again. At the swearing in he looked as if he was chewing on an onion, it was clear that he was well pissed off at his re-election, but the look on his face as the guy from the Duma told him it was for 5 years this time, was priceless, he nearly started to cry. The programme also said that he spent more time in London than in this place and that he had ploughed more dosh into Chelsea than into that region, who´s population of a mere 50.000 think he´s god. Bet he´s looking forward to the next elections.

Vore jag Chelseasupporter skulle jag ändå vara lite skitnödig att Abramovich nån gång tröttnar eller åker dit, för vad skulle hända med den klubben om det skedde?

Fast å andra sidan sägs han ju vara riktigt tjenis med Putin så vem fan vet. Det man kan vara säker på är att man nog inte kan ha blivit så rik utan att ha smutsat ner händerna.
